How will Covid-19 affect my ability to service my AC?
While a smile and a handshake is our preferred greeting method, all employees are required to follow all federal, state and CDC recommendations and requirements before engaging with any clients. So it looks like its elbow bumbs and waves for now 🙁
Which brands does Xpress Heating & Air use?
We like to work with the best. We use name brands that you know and trust, like Goodman, Trane, Carrier and more. In our experience, these companies offer the best parts, warranties, and last the longest.
How long is my AC system supposed to last?
According to Energy.gov the average life span of your HVAC system is between 15 and 20 years. This assumes that you are performing regular annual maintenance – which we can help with!
When should I replace my AC system rather than repair it?
If your system is 8-10 years old or older and you are NOT on an annual maintenance schedule, then it’s time to begin considering a replacement. Why, you ask? Most AC units come with a standard parts warranty of up to ten years… but only if it was registered. If your unit wasn’t registered than most manufacturers reduce that warrant to only 5 years. What this means for you is that as each component begins to wear and tear the cost to repair with labor can be significant.
How much does my AC affect my Electric bill?
According to energy.gov, your cooling and heating accounts for approx. 65% of your electric bill.
What is SEER rating?
Great question! SEER rating or just SEER stands for “Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.” In layman’s terms, it’s the efficiency rating of AC system – the higher the SEER rating, the more efficient your system operates and the more money you can save on your energy bill.
How are Xpress Heating & Air’s prices SO competitive?
We thought you’d never ask! The benefit of having a parent company like Vargas Developments is that it allows us provide more services than 1.
Think of it this way… since we provide our clients many services as a whole we don’t have to pad each AC repair or replacement with HUGE profits. Our owners have designed both companies this way to provide BIG savings to all clients regardless of the service they need.
